Austin Family Tree Care is a tree surgery company that is firmly rooted in the community. Our staff believe in trying to make a real difference to the communities where we carry out our work. Here are just some of the things we have been doing to try and make a positive impact.
Free logs and woodchip
We regularly provide free logs and/or woodchip to individuals, schools, community projects, artists, city farms and allotments. Some examples include:
-Hamstel Allotments (Southend on Sea) -Belchamps Scout Camp (Hockley) -Organic Lea Community Growing Project (Waltham Forest) -Brooks Farm (Waltham Forest) -Hackney City Farm (Hackney) We were also approached to provide woodchip for a community project in Newham to help maintain the footpaths along the Lea Valley river. If you need some logs or woodchip please get in touch to discuss your requirements. |
Reducing our impact on the environment
All staff at Austin Family Tree Care are committed to running our operations in ways that maximise benefits to the environment. Wherever we can, we recycle our reusable wood, for example, as outlined above, and also by supplying it to power stations as a renewable energy source. We also make sure energy, water and other natural resources are used efficiently during our operations, reducing waste wherever possible. Further to this, our company vehicle meets ultra-low emissions requirements and we use modern, energy-efficient, rechargeable, battery powered machines that reduce air and sound pollution wherever we can.
We are always looking for new ways to reduce our impact on the environment and regularly update our policies and procedures to reflect this.

Woodland Trust
We love trees so, as part of our efforts to protect and restore trees and woodland in the UK, members of our staff joined the Woodland Trust and often donate to support the amazing work they do planting trees, restoring woodland and protecting UK trees from the many threats they face.
